Subtitles displaying segment Index after render

Hey Folks,

I’m burning an SRT file into a video during render, and I’m noticing that the segment number will sometimes display after the subtitle.

For example:

“This is your subtitle”
27"

27 will be the next segment number after the subtitle that’s currently displaying. My assumption is this is some kind of special character or encoding issue. I’m uploading a file that is encoded with UTF-8 and the only special characters (that are visible) are punctuation marks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Could you share the file and video so I can test them and work out a fix for you?

Alternatively, you can send me the ID of the template you are rendering, and I’ll check it out for you.

Hi there, we’re currently working on lots of improvements on how caption works, and it’s styling options and we’re aiming to ship it soon. For now, a workaround is to use VTT.
